How to use: loan and mortgage calculator
Enter the loan amount, the annual interest rate and the term in years to see your monthly payment, the total you will repay and how much of it is interest. It uses the standard amortisation formula with a fixed payment, the most common for mortgages and personal loans. It is only an estimate: fees and insurance are not included.
How is a loan payment calculated?
With the amortisation formula: payment = principal × i ÷ (1 − (1 + i)^−n), where i is the monthly interest rate and n the number of payments.
Does it include fees and insurance?
No. The result only reflects principal and interest. Arrangement fees, linked insurance or a variable rate can change the real cost.
