How to use: password generator
A strong password is long, random and different for every service. This generator uses your browser’s cryptographic API (crypto.getRandomValues) and nothing is sent over the internet: the password is created on your device and disappears when you close the page. We recommend at least 14 characters mixing upper and lower case letters, numbers and symbols.
How long should a strong password be?
At least 14 characters. Every extra character makes it much harder to guess; 20 or more is ideal for important accounts such as email or banking.
Are the passwords I generate saved?
No. They are generated in your browser and are neither sent nor stored on any server. Copy it to your password manager before you leave.
